The Night I Got Lost

Since I am a well-traveled dog, it is my intent to provide you with some handy travel tips so you can bring your dog with you on long trips. I can tell you that I had a blast going to crazy wild places like the Badlands or Lake Tahoe to name a couple. We had a couple weird situations come up on our cross country trip, so this will be an opportunity for you to learn from our mistakes.

The original intent of our road trip was for baddog (my pack leader) to take his girlfriend [Tanya] back to Indiana, then him and I would drive home together. We decided we would stay a few days in Indiana. Our first night there I was out in the front yard when a very loud firework went off. I had never heard anything like that and ran like the wind. I did not know where I was or where I was going, but I was getting there fast.

Indiana is not like home. At night time it is dark, really dark. Within minutes, I was lost and had no idea where I was or where I should be. I had no choice but to find someone with an open door and introduce myself. They looked at the phone number on my collar, but got a disconnect recording for some reason. I was beginning to wonder if I would ever see home again. Luckily, Tanya’s dad lived across the street from the house I walked into and he had been out in the street looking for me. The owner of the house put two and two together and I was soon reunited with baddog.

Buddy, the Early Weeks

My birthday is coming up. For a present, baddog got me this website. In it I will be your virtual pet and try to provide you with some tips to help keep your puppy happy and sociable. As a result, I will be telling you my life story. There were eight or nine of us in my litter. I am sorry to say that I have never met my father and I suspect that none of my siblings have met theirs either. My mother was a party girl, and there were about three fathers involved with my litter.

Below is one of our first family photos. I am pretty easy to spot.
